Crowning Chaos: Miss Universe Fiji 2024 Winner Confirmed Amid Controversy

The organizers of Miss Universe Fiji 2024 have officially announced that Manshika Prasad is the confirmed winner of this year’s pageant. This decision came after a verification call with the Miss Universe Organisation, affirming her role as Fiji’s representative at the upcoming international event in Mexico this November.

This confirmation emerges following disputes related to misleading claims by Lux Projects Bali (Fiji), the pageant’s license holder, regarding the judging process. According to the organizers, Manshika was awarded her title with a 4-3 vote from the judges. However, Lux Projects Bali (Fiji) alleged the presence of an unauthorized eighth judge, an assertion that has been denied by both the organizers and the official Miss Universe Organisation.

The statement also highlighted concerns over financial issues, noting that Lux Projects Bali (Fiji) has not met its payment obligations for services rendered between August 27 and September 2, 2024. The organizers have urged Christine Natali, the Director/Manager of LUX Fiji and LUX Bali, to address these payment issues promptly to maintain the event’s integrity and sustainability.

The ongoing controversy has reportedly created tension among all parties involved, including Manshika Prasad, other finalists, judges, sponsors, and organizers. Nevertheless, the community continues to express support for Manshika and uphold the integrity of the Miss Universe Fiji competition.
