Tokasa Nadagalu delivered a powerful message emphasizing that love can conquer hatred and darkness when she was crowned Miss Vodafone Gold ‘N’ Water 2024 at Garvey Park in Tavua last Saturday night.
The 19-year-old was sponsored by the vanua o Tavualevu and hails from Tavua Village. She was raised by relatives after enduring the loss of her mother at the age of 14, following her father’s departure.
During her crowning speech, she urged her peers to “Never Give Up,” expressing that her achievement was made possible through her faith in God.
In her acceptance speech, Nadagalu quoted the renowned Mother Teresa, stating, “Only love can drive out darkness and hatred.” She also expressed gratitude to Vodafone Fiji, the major sponsor, and acknowledged the support from her local community in Tavualevu, particularly Krishna Goundar.
