Laisani Blake, crowned as the Punjas Fiji Miss Tebara 2025, recognizes the title as a symbol of honor, responsibility, and high expectations. The 22-year-old nurse from Vunimono, Tailevu, captivated audiences not only with her vibrant personality but also with her graceful presence, both in the hospital and on the carnival stage during the coronation event.

Expressing her feelings about the crowning, Blake described it as a surreal experience that aligned with her aspirations. “It’s an honor to be crowned and to step into this new role,” she stated. The path to her title was not without challenges, as it tested her mentally and emotionally. She emphasized the pressure to perform at her best for her sponsors and the support system that rallied behind her.

At times, she struggled with the mental drain of the competition, confiding, “There were moments when I would sulk in my room, but prayer was my source of strength.” Despite the intensity of the pageant, Blake believes the experience has been transformative and instrumental in shaping her character.

Looking ahead, she intends to return to her role as a nurse at the Nausori Health Centre, showcasing her commitment to her profession. Blake also shared an empowering message with the youth, stressing the importance of making wise choices in life. “We cannot control the circumstances we encounter, but we can control the choices we make. Bad choices lead to regrets, while good choices lead to rewards. The choices you make now determine your future, so choose wisely.”

Blake’s story is a testament to resilience and the importance of determination, reflecting not only her personal growth but also the positive impact she hopes to inspire in others.
