One of the two suspects captured on CCTV during a burglary on Namena Road, Raiwasa, has been apprehended and charged with aggravated burglary. The 18-year-old was arrested following investigations by the Southern Division police and will appear today in the Suva Magistrates Court. Meanwhile, the search is ongoing for the second individual involved in the incident.

In a separate case, two men have also been charged with aggravated robbery after allegedly assaulting a 24-year-old woman and stealing her phone and headset on Grantham Road over the weekend. Both suspects were arrested and brought before the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday, with authorities successfully recovering the stolen items.

These incidents underscore the increasing focus of law enforcement on addressing crime in the region. They reflect a broader commitment to enhancing community safety and preventing further criminal activities. As legal proceedings continue, there is hope that these actions will deter future crimes and strengthen safety measures in the community, fostering a more secure environment for residents.
