A passenger was transported to Labasa Hospital following an accident in which the vehicle they were in went off the road and crashed into a house in Buca, Savusavu, last Sunday.

According to Acting Divisional Police Commander North, Superintendent of Police Eroni Soqosoqo, the driver and two other passengers sustained injuries and were initially taken to Savusavu Subdivisional Hospital in the early hours of the morning.

“While the driver and one passenger were treated and later discharged, the third passenger required additional medical attention and was thus referred to Labasa Hospital,” reported SP Soqosoqo. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the individuals inside the house.

Police were on the scene to provide assistance to those affected by the incident.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the potential consequences of accidents. Community awareness and support systems in place, such as prompt medical assistance from local hospitals, highlight the collaborative efforts to ensure public safety.
