A man who used profanity towards a judge in the High Court received a final warning regarding his conduct. Tomasi Bose appeared before Justice Dane Tuiqereqere in Suva, facing charges of robbery and serious assault.
During a previous court session, Mr. Bose expressed regret to Justice Tuiqereqere for his inappropriate language. He had dismissed the judge’s advice to obtain legal representation on two occasions, and after being encouraged to reconsider for a third time, he became frustrated and used vulgar language.
Justice Tuiqereqere cautioned Mr. Bose that if he exhibited such behavior again, alternative measures would be taken to handle his case. Additionally, State prosecutor Zenith Zunaid opposed Mr. Bose’s bail application, and Mr. Bose is expected to address this objection by Friday. The case has been postponed until September 17.
