A man who directed expletives at a High Court judge received a final warning for his conduct during a hearing. Tomasi Bose appeared before Justice Dane Tuiqereqere in the High Court in Suva, facing charges of robbery and serious assault.

Mr. Bose expressed regret to Justice Tuiqereqere for the inappropriate language he used in court during his previous appearance when the judge had advised him to seek legal counsel. Despite rejecting the recommendation twice, he responded with vulgarities out of frustration after being urged a third time to consider it.

Justice Tuiqereqere warned Mr. Bose that if such behavior recurred, alternative measures would be taken to handle his case. Additionally, State prosecutor Zenith Zunaid opposed Mr. Bose’s request for bail, to which he must respond by Friday. The proceedings are scheduled to resume on September 17.
