Apolosa Macedrau has been remanded by the Magistrate Court following his alleged involvement in a robbery last week in Raiwaqa. The accused appeared before Resident Magistrate Sufia Hamza, facing a charge of robbery as per Section 310 (1)(a)(i) of the Crime Act 2009.
During the proceedings, it was revealed that on February 8, 2025, Macedrau allegedly stole a handbag containing items valued at $880 from Shental Priyanka, who was disembarking from a taxi. The charges were clearly conveyed to the accused, who indicated his understanding and opted for the case to be heard in the Magistrate Court.
Macedrau has been served with full disclosures regarding the case, and he remains in custody as the court adjourned the matter until February 25 for further mention.
