Resident Magistrate Sufia Hamza is set to make a ruling today regarding former Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum’s request to travel to Singapore for a medical evaluation. During a court session on Tuesday, Sayed-Khaiyum expressed that he has been experiencing severe and persistent pain since March, with episodes occurring three to four times a week, significantly hindering his ability to function. He provided this testimony during the hearing for a modification of his bail conditions. Sayed-Khaiyum is anticipated to appear in court at noon.
