Two men in their twenties have been charged with aggravated robbery following a break-in at a residence in Tamavua last month. The accused, aged 29 and 27, reportedly unlawfully entered the home of a 46-year-old man on October 30, stealing cash, a mobile phone, and various other items before fleeing the scene.

Law enforcement apprehended the suspects last week, and they subsequently appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court on Monday, November 4. Both remain in custody and are scheduled to reappear in court on November 18.

This incident underscores the ongoing challenges that communities face regarding property crimes. However, the prompt action by law enforcement to apprehend and charge the suspects reflects a commitment to ensuring community safety and holding individuals accountable for their actions. As the judicial process unfolds, it is hoped that effective measures can be implemented to deter such crimes in the future, fostering a safer environment for all residents.
