Two employees of Grace Road, including Daniel Kim, have been cleared of assault allegations by the Navua Magistrate Court concerning an incident from 2018. The case involved claims made by Nainoca Kaukibeqa, who alleged he was assaulted by Jung Yong Kim and Jin Seo Jung outside his residence in Navua.

Upon reviewing the evidence, the Court determined that Mr. Kaukibeqa had not only fabricated parts of his statement but had also omitted significant information. In response to the court’s decision, Grace Road issued a media statement expressing relief and affirming that the accusations stemmed from a misinterpretation of a Facebook post rather than from any formal complaint.

The statement highlighted the importance of the ruling, noting that it wrapped up allegations that were never officially reported but pursued by the Fiji Police based solely on social media content, which lacked context and pertinent facts regarding the accused individuals. Grace Road expressed their support for Mr. Kim and Mr. Seo, reaffirming that they have always claimed their innocence.

This ruling serves as a reminder of the need for thorough investigations and the potential repercussions of relying on social media for serious allegations. It underscores the importance of due process and the justice system. The outcome is a positive development for the individuals involved, allowing them to move forward without the shadows of these accusations.

In conclusion, this case reinforces the significance of credible evidence and the responsibility of authorities to act on verified information.
