The Acting Education Minister, Alitia Bainivalu, along with Assistant Minister Iliesa Vanawalu, extended their best wishes to all Year 8 students as they prepare for their External Examinations, which began today.
Ms. Bainivalu acknowledged that exam preparations can evoke a mix of emotions including excitement and anticipation. She encouraged Year 8 students to trust in their studies and reminded them that this examination is only one part of their educational journey.
The Acting Minister also urged parents, guardians, and teachers to offer the essential support needed to help students maintain focus during the examination period.
In total, 19,359 Year 8 students are scheduled to participate in the “Fiji Year 8 Examination,” taking place in 717 centers across the nation from today until Thursday, September 26. This year’s examination includes two new exam centers.
