Suva Magistrate Krishnan Prasad directed the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption to deliver second phase disclosures to former Fiji Broadcasting Corporation CEO Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and CFO Vimlesh Sagar by 4:30 PM today. This order was issued during a court session this morning.

The court highlighted that Sagar, who is out on bail, currently lacks a second surety in the court records. Sayed-Khaiyum faces charges for one count of abuse of office and one count of general dishonesty causing a loss, while Sagar is charged with one count of general dishonesty resulting in a loss.

Additionally, in a separate case, Sayed-Khaiyum faces the same charges as mentioned earlier, and Sagar also stands charged with general dishonesty causing a loss. The court has scheduled the matter for a plea on 31 August 2024. Magistrate Prasad has returned the case to Court One for further proceedings.
