Suva Magistrate Krishnan Prasad today directed the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption to deliver second phase disclosures to former Fiji Broadcasting Corporation CEO Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Chief Financial Officer Vimlesh Sagar by 4:30 PM.
The case was addressed in court this morning, where it was noted that Sagar, while out on bail, lacks a second surety in the court records.
Sayed-Khaiyum faces charges of one count of abuse of office and one count of general dishonesty causing a loss, while Sagar is charged with one count of general dishonesty causing a loss.
In a separate case, Sayed-Khaiyum is also charged with one count of abuse of office and one count of general dishonesty causing a loss, with Sagar facing a similar charge of general dishonesty causing a loss.
The proceedings have been postponed until August 31, 2024, for a plea to be entered. Magistrate Prasad has transferred the case back to Court One.
