Corruption Allegations: Former Fiji Minister Declares Innocence

Former Fisheries Minister Kalaveti Ravu has entered a not guilty plea to charges related to corruption. Ravu appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today, facing one count of Abuse of Office, along with Regional Manager North Tekata Toisi, who is charged with one count of Aiding and Abetting Abuse of Office. The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption has provided the defense counsel with the second phase of disclosures. The case has been postponed until August 28 for further mention.
