Cook Islands Fights On: Netball World Cup Dreams Alive!

Cook Islands is still in the running for a place in the Netball World Youth Cup 2025, despite losing to Tonga on the second day of the Oceania World Youth Cup Qualifier held at the National Sports Arena in Nikao.

Having secured a victory over Papua New Guinea with a score of 63-45 on Monday, Cook Islands aimed for a top-three finish to qualify for the World Cup in their match against Tonga.

In an energetic showdown, Tonga emerged victorious with a commanding 66-44 win over the Cook Islands.

In other results, the Fiji Baby Pearls faced a tough challenge in their first match against the Tifa Moana Samoa under-21 team, ultimately losing 51-32.

The team, coached by Simone Nalatu, is set to take the court again today for their second match against Tonga Tala at 5:15 pm.
