Prashantika Prasad, a 22-year-old aspiring model, is determined to enhance her confidence and pursue more opportunities in the fashion industry. She is one of ten contestants competing for the Miss Fiji Universe 2024 title, which will take place in Mexico later this year.

Currently, Prasad is in her fourth year studying medicine at the University of Fiji’s Saweni Campus in Lautoka. She entered the pageant in hopes of gaining confidence, stating, “I entered this pageant to take up an opportunity that does not always come by in hopes of becoming more confident.” Her message focuses on the importance of self-confidence and seizing opportunities.

Prasad emphasizes that while spontaneous opportunities may be intimidating, they contribute significantly to personal growth. She aims to raise awareness and support initiatives that build a resilient, youth-oriented society, particularly through education and assistance for those facing mental health challenges and drug addiction.

Her aspiration is to complete her medical education and become a healthcare provider. She respects those who participate in large platforms and values the lessons learned from her fellow contestants, noting the importance of female unity.

Previously, Prasad served as the deputy head girl at Sangam Sadhu Kuppuswamy Memorial College in Nadi, where she was a member of the school band, performing the lead song for their official music video. She inherits her musical talent from her father, Shalendra Shambu Prasad, and is a lead vocalist in the University of Fiji’s musical band. In addition to her musical pursuits, she enjoys playing tennis and engaging in community service during medical camps.
