Comprehensive Guide to Today’s Weather, Events, Power Shutdown, and Entertainment in Fiji

Here is a recap of some essential updates for your day.

Starting with the weather forecast: A trough of low pressure is expected to affect the northern and eastern parts of the country from later today till tomorrow. A southeast wind flow is currently prevailing over the area. Areas such as Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, along with several others, can expect southeasterly winds with wind speeds of up to 45km/hr. The other areas should brace for moderate to fresh southeast winds, gusty at times, with rough seas.

Moving on to events taking place today: The Garden City Market Day starts at 9am at Garden City, Raiwai. The Hilton High Tea in Support for Fiji Cancer Society starts at 2pm and can be visited at Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa. The Roasted Coconut Lumi (Seaweed) begins at 4.30pm at Suva Markets, Fiji and the Nadi Kids and Adults Club starts at 5pm at CAAF Compound, Namaka, Nadi.

It is important to note the EFL Planned power shutdown in Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki from 5.00am to 6.00pm. The areas most affected by this shutdown include Navisila, Nalove, Vunabitu, Tuinadreudreu, Delaivunabitu, and several others.

As for entertainment today, “Despicable Me 4” will be showing at various time blocks at all Life Cinemas and “Inside Out 2,” another animation film, will also be screened.
