Free-flowing kava from Fiji was the highlight of a recent community event in Atlanta, USA, where Kava Korp partnered with Kava Mama to offer free kava to attendees. This gesture was particularly aimed at supporting survivors of recent hurricanes.
Kava Mama, an Atlanta-based establishment, organized the event to foster a sense of community and provide comfort to those impacted by the disasters. The collaboration with Fiji’s Kava Korp was significant, as Kava Korp provided substantial donations to the initiative.
John Sanday, a director at Kava Korp, acknowledged Kava Mama for its pioneering role in exporting kava bars across the United States. He remarked on the important contributions Kava Mama has made to the kava industry’s growth in Fiji and the wider Pacific region.
“This is our way of helping the community recover from the devastation and a sign of our solidarity in challenging times,” Sanday stated. He noted that Kava Korp was not the only company to offer support in this effort. Kava Mama was unavailable for comment at the time of the report.
