Community involvement in policing efforts has once again demonstrated its effectiveness with the recent seizure of over a thousand plants suspected to be marijuana.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu reported that officers stationed in Savusavu collaborated with teams executing Operation Tagimoucia, alongside local community members, to uproot more than one thousand green plants from the hilly areas above Nawi village.

ACP Driu highlighted that this initiative is part of an ongoing commitment to curtail the illegal drug trade in both urban and rural regions, supported by community efforts across all five policing divisions.

This successful operation underscores the importance of community engagement in enhancing public safety and tackling drug-related issues. As these collaborative efforts continue, the potential for creating a safer environment for all residents strengthens, fostering hope for a future with reduced drug-related crime.
