In an interview, player Esala Masinisau shared that to finance their journey to Vatulele, the team engaged in hard work, including climbing trees to collect coconuts and constructing pig pens. The team’s trip involved traveling from Korotogo Village to the Korolevu landing and then taking a fiberglass boat to Vatulele at a cost of $40 per person.
