The Ministry of Health and Medical Services, along with the Fiji Police Force, is currently investigating an incident involving seven guests at the Warwick Resort who were hospitalized after consuming a cocktail from the resort’s bar. Reports indicate that the individuals experienced symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and neurological issues. Their ages range from 18 to 56, and due to the seriousness of their conditions, two patients have been transferred to Lautoka Hospital for further treatment.

In response to the situation, a team of health inspectors has been dispatched to Sigatoka Hospital to support the local health team in conducting a thorough investigation. They are also working to identify any other guests who may have experienced similar symptoms from consuming the same beverage.

The Ministry has urged the public to exercise caution with food and drinks, particularly during this festive season, to ensure their safety.
