The Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park was once again a resounding success. Held on Saturday from noon to 10 PM, the event was organized by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji, who shared their enthusiasm for this cherished annual celebration.
Emmy Ling-Elder, head of marketing at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji, emphasized the significance of the event, stating it aims to spread joy, nurture connections, and support local talent. “We are thrilled to bring back Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park for its second year,” Ms. Ling-Elder noted. “This event is our way of sharing the joy of the season with our community, offering an unforgettable day filled with celebration, connection, and entertainment. It also allows us to give back by supporting local artists, small businesses, and the community, creating a fun and festive atmosphere for everyone.”
The festivities commenced with the Coca-Cola food festival, showcasing a wide range of culinary delights such as BBQ, lovo, Indian cuisine, and other beloved local dishes. Attendees were entertained with performances from some of Fiji’s top musical acts, including Liz Vamarasi, VLY, The Gang, Aman Singh featuring Yuvaan Band, Makare, Ouvacast, Tunite, Paradise Rootz, and DJ Vibez.
The event also featured local organizations, including representatives from the Fiji Police Force, the National Fire Authority, and the Seek to Save Ministry, who engaged with attendees and shared important information about their initiatives in the community, promoting safety and well-being.
To facilitate a safe and enjoyable experience, Cakobau Street was closed to traffic from midnight on Friday until noon on Sunday, ensuring a pedestrian-friendly environment throughout the celebration.
This festive gathering not only provides joy and entertainment to the community but also fosters a spirit of togetherness.
