The Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park once again proved to be a resounding success this past Saturday, running from noon until 10 PM. Organized by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji, the event aimed to spread holiday cheer, build connections among community members, and showcase local talent.
Emmy Ling-Elder, head of marketing for Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, remarking on its role in fostering joy within the community. “We’re thrilled to bring Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park back for its second year,” she shared. “This is our way of sharing the joy of the season, offering an unforgettable day filled with celebration, connection, and entertainment.”
The festivities began with a vibrant Coca-Cola food festival, showcasing a wide variety of dishes, including BBQ, lovo, Indian cuisine, and beloved local favorites. Attendees were treated to performances by some of Fiji’s most talented musicians, including Liz Vamarasi, VLY, The Gang, Aman Singh featuring Yuvaan Band, Makare, Ouvacast, Tunite, Paradise Rootz, and DJ Vibez.
Additionally, local organizations such as the Fiji Police Force and the National Fire Authority had representatives present to engage with attendees, sharing valuable insights about their contributions to community safety and wellbeing.
To promote a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, Cakobau St was closed to traffic from Friday midnight to Sunday noon, creating a pedestrian-friendly space for participants to immerse themselves in the festivities.
This event signifies not just a celebration, but also highlights the importance of community connections and supporting local talent and businesses. As such gatherings continue, they foster a spirit of togetherness and positivity that benefits everyone involved.
In essence, the Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park not only spread joy but also reaffirmed the strengthening ties within the community. It is a hopeful reminder of the power of connection, music, food, and shared experiences during the festive season.
