The Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park was a resounding success once again, held on Saturday from noon until 10 PM. This beloved event was organized by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji, who were thrilled to bring back this annual celebration.

Emmy Ling-Elder, head of marketing at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji, expressed that the event embodies a spirit of joy, community engagement, and support for local talent. “We’re excited to bring Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park back for its second year,” she said. Ms. Ling-Elder emphasized that the event offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the season with the community, featuring an array of entertainment and festivities.

The celebrations began with the Coca-Cola food fest, showcasing a variety of culinary delights, including BBQ, lovo, Indian dishes, and other regional favorites. The music lineup featured some of Fiji’s top talents, such as Liz Vamarasi, VLY, The Gang, and DJ Vibez, creating an ambiance of fun and festive spirit throughout the day.

In addition, local organizations, including the Fiji Police Force and National Fire Authority, participated in the event, engaging with attendees and providing important safety and wellness information.

To facilitate a safe and enjoyable environment, traffic was restricted on Cakobau Street from midnight on Friday to noon on Sunday, creating a pedestrian-friendly atmosphere that allowed everyone to fully enjoy the festivities.

Overall, the Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park not only brought joy to the community but also reinforced the importance of local culture and connection during this festive season. It highlights the power of community events to foster relationships and support local businesses, putting forth a hopeful outlook for future gatherings.

The event serves as a reminder of the joy that comes from togetherness and celebration in our communities, setting a positive tone as the holiday season progresses.
