The Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park successfully returned for its second year, bringing festive cheer to the community on Saturday from noon until 10 PM. Organized by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji, the event aimed to spread joy, foster connections, and support local talent.
Emmy Ling-Elder, head of marketing for Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji, expressed enthusiasm about the celebration, stating, “This event is our way of sharing the joy of the season with our community, offering an unforgettable day of celebration, connection, and entertainment.” She emphasized the event’s role in giving back to the community by supporting local artists and small businesses while creating a fun and festive atmosphere.
The day kicked off with a vibrant Coca-Cola food fest featuring an array of culinary delights, including BBQ, lovo, and Indian cuisine, ensuring there was something for everyone’s palate. Musical performances were a highlight of the event, showcasing popular local acts such as Liz Vamarasi, VLY, and DJ Vibez, among others.
In addition to entertainment, local organizations participated in the event, with representatives from the Fiji Police Force and National Fire Authority sharing valuable community safety information. To enhance the safety and experience of attendees, Cakobau Street was closed to traffic from early Friday until Sunday afternoon, creating a pedestrian-friendly environment.
