Weather Update
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi, at 7:30pm on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Attention, beach dwellers and wave enthusiasts! A coastal inundation alert remains in effect for the aquatic playgrounds of Sigatoka (yes, including the Coral Coast), Serua/Namosi, Mamanuca Group (with a shoutout to Malolo), Kadavu, Lau, and the Lomaiviti groups. In short, if you see water where it usually doesn’t belong, don’t panic—it’s just the sea taking a little stroll during high tides.

As for the weather forecast up to midnight tomorrow, here’s the scoop: expect fine conditions sprinkled with a few brief showers in the charming landscapes of Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu, and their petite neighboring islands. The rest of the Fiji group is likely to experience mainly fine weather, allowing you to flaunt those sunglasses you’ve collected from the back of your drawer. Nights will be cool enough for a light blanket—perfect for cuddle weather!

Keep in mind that we’re dealing with moderate to fresh southeast winds and seas that might take on a moderate to rough demeanor. So, if you’re planning to channel your inner sailor, pack your life jacket, just in case!

Looking ahead to Wednesday, expect similar conditions: a delightful mix of sunshine and brief showers over the same areas, with mainly fine weather for the rest of the group. Perfect for some good old-fashioned relaxation!

Specific area forecasts:

– Navua / Suva / Nausori: Fine, apart from those little pesky showers trying to crash your picnic. The nights remain cool—bring a jacket if you’re planning a late-night stroll!

– Sigatoka/Coral Coast: A heads-up for potential sea flooding during high tides. But other than that, it’s fine and cool at night, so don’t forget your beach towel!

– Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Mainly fine with comfortably cool nights. Sounds like an invitation for a star-gazing session!

– Tavua/Rakiraki: A sprinkle of brief showers in Ra, but fine otherwise. And yes, cool nights are on the menu!

– For Natadradave/Korovou: Expect fine conditions, with just a sprinkle of brief showers to keep things interesting. Nights will be cool—you’re welcome!

– Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Sea flooding is a possibility during high tides. But hey, it’s mainly fine and cool nights are calling your name!

– Labasa, Savusavu, Lau/Lomaiviti, and Kadavu: Mainly fine weather across all these spots. Just a little sprinkle here and there, cool at night. A typical day in paradise!

Lastly, for our friends in Rotuma: Brace yourselves for some strong winds and occasional showers. It seems the weather is feeling a bit moody over water after all.

So there you have it—stay safe, stay dry (or swim if you dare), and enjoy whatever Mother Nature throws your way!
