A coastal inundation alert that was previously in effect for low-lying coastal regions of Southern Viti Levu, Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, and surrounding smaller islands, as well as the Central and Southern Lau Groups, has now been lifted.

According to the Fiji Meteorological Service, a high-pressure system located to the far south of Fiji is anticipated to slowly move eastward, leading to the generation and direction of moderate southerly swells. This change has decreased the likelihood of coastal inundation in the southern low-lying coastal areas of Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office has indicated that there is now a very low to low probability of sea flooding in coastal regions, particularly during high tides.
