A coastal inundation alert that was issued for low-lying coastal regions of Southern Viti Levu, Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands, as well as the Central and Southern Lau Groups, has been lifted.

The Fiji Meteorological Service reported that a high-pressure system located far to the south of Fiji is expected to slowly move eastward, which is producing moderate southerly swells and has decreased the likelihood of coastal inundation in the southern low-lying areas of Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office indicated that there is now a very low to low risk of sea flooding in coastal regions, particularly during high tides.
