A coastal inundation alert has been issued for the coastal regions of Southern Viti Levu, including Natadola, Vatukarasa, Coral Coast, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands. The Fiji Meteorological Service has warned of potential sea flooding in these areas during high tides.

Key tide times to note are as follows:
– Thursday, October 17th at 6:00 PM, with a height of 2.11 meters.
– Friday, October 18th at 6:30 AM.
– Friday, October 18th at 6:50 PM, with a height of 2.40 meters.
– Saturday, October 19th at 7:25 AM, with a height of 1.96 meters.

The Fiji Meteorological Service indicates that impacts may include flooding in low-lying coastal regions, disruptions to marine and recreational activities, and potential hazards from debris along coastal communities and roads.
