A coastal inundation alert that was issued for low-lying areas of Southern Viti Levu, Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, and nearby islands, as well as the Central and Southern Lau Groups, has been lifted.
The Fiji Meteorological Service reported that a high-pressure system located to the far south of Fiji is moving eastward, which is generating moderate southerly swells and has diminished the likelihood of coastal flooding in these southern low-lying regions.
The Nadi Weather Office indicated that there is now a very low to low risk of sea flooding in coastal areas, particularly during high tides.
