Clothes for Good has made a significant contribution of $5,000 to the Nasole Housing Assistance Relief Trust (HART) Community, demonstrating their commitment to supporting local welfare. As the first non-profit preloved clothing store in Fiji, located in Nabua and Lami just outside of Suva, Clothes for Good uses its profits to uplift the community through charitable donations.
Founder Hayden Ostrom emphasized that the mission of the company is anchored in charitable efforts aimed at improving the lives of Fijian communities like Nasole HART. He expressed that their initiative focuses on assisting struggling communities, believing that localized support can foster broader societal improvements.
Each purchase made at their stores not only provides shoppers with quality clothes and shoes, but also helps fund initiatives to aid those in need across Fiji. Ostrom noted that they are dedicated to ensuring all profits are reinvested into community improvements.
The recent donation will specifically fund essential repairs, including the installation of new fences to enhance security due to previous break-ins, and refurbishments to a community hall that is vital for children’s studies but currently suffers from leaks.
This commitment from Clothes for Good not only addresses immediate safety and infrastructure needs but also reflects a hopeful and proactive approach to community support, underlining the positive impact a business can achieve by placing charity at the forefront of its operations.
Through these efforts, Clothes for Good exemplifies how a socially conscious business model can inspire hope and catalyze positive change in local communities.
