Magistrate Yogesh Prasad has granted Vukicanavanua Rokodreu, the lawyer for a 58-year-old Methodist Church minister, a period of 28 days to advise his client regarding his plea. This plea discussion will take place on November 6.
Kolinio Bulivakarua, the church minister from Ba, has also had his bail extended. He is facing allegations of unlawfully withdrawing $7,638.68 from the mataqali Walakewa TLTB trust account. Bulivakarua appeared before Magistrate Prasad last month, with the incident reportedly occurring during his tenure as divisional superintendent of Bukuya, Ba, between January 1 and May 31, four years ago.
The police prosecution has filed and served the second phase disclosures, which have been confirmed as received by Bulivakarua’s lawyer, Rokodreu.
