Carpenters Fiji Ltd hosted a heartwarming Christmas celebration for children battling cancer and those from orphanages in Suva as part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The event, marked as a yearly tradition for the company, brought together approximately 125 children from organizations such as Dilkusha Home, WOWS Kids Fiji, and the Happy Home Trust, along with their families.
Pawan Sharma, General Manager of Global Business Improvement at Carpenters, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that it was a meaningful way to honor the holiday season and uplift those in need. With support from several local sponsors, including Shiva’s Restaurant and Sri Lankan Restaurant, the children enjoyed entertainment, delicious food, sweets, gifts, and lunch.
One of the attendees, Ema Nasome, expressed her gratitude for the event, particularly for her six-year-old son, who has faced serious health challenges. She remarked on how special this occasion was, noting that it made a significant positive impact on their lives.
