Chinese Embassy Boosts Child Welfare with $40,000 Donation

The Chinese embassy has contributed $40,000 to Inspire Pacific, a non-governmental organization focused on improving the lives of at-risk children.

Chinese Ambassador Zhou Jian handed over the grant to Ben Morrison, co-founder of Inspire Pacific. Ambassador Zhou highlighted the significant contributions made by the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection under the new Coalition Government in areas such as women’s rights and child welfare, which support vulnerable communities.

He stated, “The Embassy is honoured to support the ministry’s Child Rehabilitation and well-being programme to enhance the livelihoods of Fiji’s citizens.”

In response, Minister Tabuya expressed gratitude to the Chinese Ambassador for their generosity and commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young people in need. She emphasized that the donation will greatly benefit the rehabilitation programs offered by Inspire Pacific.

Minister Tabuya praised Inspire Pacific for their commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for Fiji’s children requiring rehabilitation and support for integration. Ben Morrison thanked Ambassador Zhou for the support and acknowledged Minister Tabuya’s role in their initiatives.
