Chinese Ambassador’s Generous Donation Aims to Transform Lives of At-Risk Children

The Chinese government, through its embassy, has contributed $40,000 to support Inspire Pacific, an NGO dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk children. Chinese Ambassador Zhou Jian presented the donation to Ben Morrison, co-founder of Inspire Pacific.

Ambassador Zhou highlighted the significant efforts made by the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection under the new Coalition Government, emphasizing advancements in women’s rights, child protection, and support for vulnerable populations.

He expressed pride in the embassy’s support for the ministry’s Child Rehabilitation and Wellbeing Programme aimed at enhancing the lives of citizens in Fiji.

Minister Ms. Tabuya expressed her gratitude towards the Chinese Ambassador for his generous contribution, which she stated will greatly benefit the rehabilitation programs that Inspire Pacific conducts for at-risk children. She praised Inspire Pacific for their commitment to providing a supportive and safe environment for vulnerable young individuals requiring rehabilitation.

Mr. Morrison also extended his thanks to Mr. Zhou for the support and acknowledged Ms. Tabuya for her assistance in their initiatives.
