The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, is poised to host the 2024 Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji. The event, which spans four days, will mark a significant milestone as the largest economic and trade exhibition of its kind.
CCPIT Deputy Representative Ma Lei highlighted that over 30 prominent Chinese companies will participate in the exhibition. Notable participants include industry leaders such as China Mobile, Huawei, China Railway, and Great Wall Motors, among others. These companies cover a diverse range of sectors, including infrastructure construction, general machinery, power equipment, electronics, automotive, agriculture, and fisheries.
Ma emphasized that the exhibition not only showcases China’s advancements in technology and industrial development but also serves as a vital platform for Fiji and the broader Pacific region to engage with and learn about innovative Chinese products and technologies. He believes this initiative will enhance economic cooperation and facilitate technical exchanges between the two nations.
The exhibition is set to commence tomorrow, promising to provide valuable insights and opportunities for collaboration.
This event represents a hopeful step toward strengthening international ties and fostering mutual development. By facilitating such exchanges, both China and Fiji can work towards greater economic prosperity and technological progress, benefiting not just their economies, but also the communities they serve.
