The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, is set to launch the 2024 Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji, scheduled to run for four days. This event is being highlighted as the largest economic and trade gathering in the history of such exhibitions, with more than 30 Chinese companies participating.
Among the notable companies present are prominent names such as China Mobile, China Railway Construction, Huawei, Shacman, Hytera, Great Wall Motors, and Daiqin Energy Storage. These firms span a variety of sectors, including infrastructure construction, general machinery, power equipment, electronics, automotive and spare parts, as well as fisheries and agricultural production technologies.
CCPIT Deputy Representative Ma Lei emphasized that the exhibition serves to showcase China’s significant progress in technological innovation and industrial enhancement. It also aims to establish a vital platform for Fiji and the broader Pacific region to engage with China’s advanced technologies and products. Ma noted that this event could lead to enhanced economic and trade cooperation, paving the way for more robust technical exchanges between the two nations.
With the exhibition starting tomorrow, it holds great potential for fostering international collaboration and knowledge sharing, emphasizing a bright future for economic relations in the Asia-Pacific region.
This exhibition not only underscores the commitment to economic partnerships but also presents an opportunity for Fiji to elevate its technological exchange and industry standards through innovative Chinese solutions.
