The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, is poised to launch the 2024 Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji, an event set to last for four days.

CCPIT Deputy Representative Ma Lei announced to the media that this exhibition marks the largest economic and trade event of its kind, featuring over 30 prominent Chinese companies. Notable participants include China Mobile, China Railway Construction, Huawei, Shacman, Hytera, Great Wall Motors, and Daiqin Energy Storage, among others.

The exhibiting companies cover a broad spectrum of industries, including infrastructure development, machinery, power equipment, electronic devices, automotive products, fisheries and processing technology, as well as agricultural innovations. Ma highlighted that these advanced products and technologies not only reflect China’s significant strides in technological innovation and industrial enhancement but also create a vital opportunity for Fiji and the wider Pacific region to explore China’s cutting-edge technology and innovative products.

Furthermore, he noted that this event could greatly enhance economic collaboration and technical exchanges between China and Fiji, paving the way for higher-level partnerships and mutual growth.

With the exhibition commencing tomorrow, there is an air of optimism about the potential benefits this collaboration could bring to both nations’ economies.

Overall, the exhibition symbolizes a meaningful step forward in fostering international cooperation, showcasing innovation, and enabling knowledge transfer that could lead to increased investment and development opportunities in Fiji. This event reflects a positive trajectory toward stronger economic ties and a shared vision for growth and prosperity in the region.
