The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, is preparing to launch the 2024 Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji, which will span four days. This significant event marks the largest economic and trade exhibition in the history of its kind, drawing participation from over 30 Chinese companies.
CCPIT Deputy Representative Ma Lei highlighted that the exhibition features prominent Chinese businesses including China Mobile, China Railway, Huawei, Shacman, Hytera, Great Wall Motors, Daiqin Energy Storage, among others. These companies span a diverse range of sectors, including infrastructure construction, general machinery, power equipment, home electronics, automotive components, fisheries, agricultural technologies, and machinery.
Ma emphasized that the products and technologies showcased at the exhibition reflect China’s impressive advancements in technological innovation and industrial development. He noted that this event serves as a vital platform for Fiji and the Pacific region to engage with and learn from China’s advanced technologies and products.
Furthermore, Ma expressed optimism about the potential of the exhibition to enhance economic and trade cooperation, as well as technical exchanges, between China and Fiji, paving the way for enriched bilateral relations. The exhibition is set to commence tomorrow, promising a fruitful exchange of ideas and opportunities.
This event is not just an exhibition; it represents a chance for Fiji to strengthen its economic ties and enhance its technological landscape, ultimately benefiting both regions through collaboration and innovation.
