China Steps Up: $40,000 Donation Aims to Transform Lives of At-Risk Children in Fiji

The Chinese government, via its embassy, has contributed $40,000 to Inspire Pacific, a Non-Governmental Organisation focused on improving the lives of at-risk children. Chinese Ambassador Zhou Jian handed over the grant to Ben Morrison, co-founder of Inspire Pacific.

Ambassador Zhou highlighted the recent efforts of the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection under the new Coalition Government, noting their significant strides in promoting women’s rights, protecting children, and enhancing the livelihoods of vulnerable populations. He expressed the embassy’s honor in supporting the ministry’s Child Rehabilitation and Wellbeing program aimed at benefiting Fiji’s citizens.

In response, Ms. Tabuya expressed her gratitude to the Chinese Ambassador for his generosity and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of needy youth. She emphasized that this donation will greatly enhance the resources and support available for Inspire Pacific’s rehabilitation programs designed for at-risk children.

Ms. Tabuya praised Inspire Pacific for its commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in need of rehabilitation and integration support. Mr. Morrison expressed his thanks to Mr. Zhou for the support and acknowledged Ms. Tabuya’s role in aiding their initiatives.
