Claudie David, a standout athlete from Suva Grammar School, is preparing for the forthcoming Fiji Finals after an exceptional performance at the Suva Zone Two Athletics competition held at HFC Bank Stadium. The Year 13 student secured gold medals in both the senior girls’ blue ribbon and the 200-meter events, underscoring her remarkable athletic talent. In addition, she contributed to her team’s success by winning a gold in the senior girls’ 4x100m relay, further establishing her as a leading competitor.
David, originally from Vanuatu, has been dedicated to her training since moving to Fiji a decade ago. She previously represented her country at the 2023 Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands, a testament to her commitment to the sport. With her sights set on the Fiji Finals, she expressed her ambition, saying, “I’m aiming for the blue ribbon in the Fiji Finals. I know it will not be easy, but I have been putting in the hard work and I believe that I can achieve this goal of mine.”
