Three individuals, including two juveniles aged 13 and 15, as well as an 18-year-old, are set to appear in Suva Magistrates Court today in connection with the alleged rape of a 13-year-old boy in Lami last month.
It is reported that at the end of August, the suspects allegedly compelled the victim to engage in sexual acts at a residence belonging to one of the victim’s relatives. The incident was brought to the attention of law enforcement when the victim’s mother lodged a report at the Lami Police Station earlier this week.
All three have been charged with rape and will be presented in court today.
