Charges Dropped: What’s Next for Ex-Fiji Link CEO?

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has dropped the charges against Shaenaz Voss, the former CEO of Fiji Link, regarding her alleged failure to comply with airline security regulations. This decision was confirmed by her defense attorney, Gul Fatima.

The case was addressed by Resident Magistrate Samanunu Vaniqi at the Nausori Magistrates Court. Voss had been charged with the unlawful transport of firearms on a flight from Nausori to Labasa Airport in 2018. The incident involved bodyguards of former Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum allegedly carrying firearms aboard the Fiji Link flight. Assistant DPP Laisani Tabuakuro represented the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions during the proceedings.
