Nitesh Chand from Lautoka has emerged victorious in the Nadi Open Snooker Tournament, which concluded early Sunday morning. This exciting three-day competition took place at the Nadi Sports and Social Club, showcasing the exceptional talent present in the country’s snooker scene.

Chand exhibited remarkable skill and composure throughout the tournament, ultimately clinching the championship title with a commanding performance in the final match. The tournament attracted 30 players representing regions such as Nausori, Ba, Lautoka, Nadi, and Sigatoka, emphasizing the depth and enthusiasm for snooker in Fiji.

In the final, Chand faced 19-year-old Manav, who, despite the loss, showcased great potential as a rising star in the sport. Manav’s impressive run to the final highlighted his determination and skill, earning him admiration from both competitors and spectators alike.

The semi-finals featured seasoned players Kaci and Rajnesh Nand, both of whom delivered strong performances but unfortunately fell short of reaching the final. Their matches contributed to an exhilarating atmosphere at the tournament, keeping fans engaged.
