The 2025 League Tag Championship is set to take place once again at Churchill Park in Lautoka. This announcement came from Sportswell, a leading sports travel company, following the successful inaugural event held over the past weekend, which was won by the Yasawa Saints.

In collaboration with League Tag Fiji, Sportswell aims to grow the rapidly gaining popularity of league tag in Fiji and the broader Pacific region. This year marked a significant milestone as it hosted the first division of Girls League Tag Championships within the League Tag Series.

Trish Aisake, CEO of Sportswell, expressed enthusiasm about the event’s success and conveyed aspirations for its expansion in the upcoming year to include additional divisions. She highlighted the importance of promoting grassroots sports and creating opportunities for girls in Fiji.

“We’re excited to expand the event in 2025 and to contribute to the growth of league tag throughout the region,” Aisake stated.

Sportswell plays a crucial role in facilitating sporting exchanges between Australia and Fiji, which benefits Fijian players and teams while allowing visiting Australian teams to enjoy Fiji’s vibrant culture and renowned hospitality both on and off the field.

This initiative not only fosters the sport of league tag but also emphasizes the importance of encouraging female athletes, which is vital for the overall development of sports in Fiji and contributes positively to community engagement.

In summary, the upcoming 2025 League Tag Championship reflects a larger commitment to develop sports and empower athletes, particularly women, in Fiji, ensuring a brighter future for sports within the community.
