Challenge Group Delivers Holiday Hope to Cancer Patients in Fiji

In a heartwarming initiative, the Challenge Group of Companies donated a vehicle to the Fiji Cancer Society’s Nadi outlet this week, providing a significant boost to cancer care in the Western Division. This donation aims to enhance the society’s ability to assist patients and provide essential services.

Salesh Kumar, the group’s chief executive officer, expressed their commitment to supporting communities, emphasizing that such contributions are a fundamental part of their strategic goals. He highlighted the pride the organization takes in collaborating with those dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable populations, particularly cancer patients.

Kumar articulated the organization’s belief that it is vital to foster hope, show resilience, and form meaningful partnerships. He praised the Fiji Cancer Society’s commitment to research, education, and patient care, envisioning a future in which cancer is less prevalent.

The Fiji Cancer Society’s CEO, Belinda Chan, shared the impact of their work, stating that they have assisted over 332 cancer patients between Sigatoka and Tavua. She described the importance of their community outreach, which includes awareness campaigns on prevention and screenings for various cancers. The newly donated vehicle will significantly enhance their ability to reach underserved communities in the Western Division, allowing them to provide critical services.
