Eight teams from the Central rally have earned their places in the 2024 Crest Fiji Secondary Schools Netball Finals, scheduled for August 21-23 at the National Netball Centre in Laucala, Suva.
FSSNA president Navitalai Naivalu highlighted the competitive spirit of the Central rally, where schools from Suva compete fiercely for a chance to be in the finals.
“The competition has showcased tremendous talent and underscored the importance of teamwork, with teachers playing a pivotal role in preparing the teams,” Naivalu remarked.
Among those qualifying for the national tournament are Dudley High School, Mahatma Gandi Memorial School, William Cross College, Ballantine Memorial School, Saint Joseph Secondary School, and Yat Sen College. Notably, defending champions Suva Grammar managed to secure a spot only in the U19 grade, while Dudley High School made history by qualifying across all grades for the first time.
“As the competition intensifies, it promises to be an exhilarating event with new champions on the horizon,” added Naivalu.
Fans are encouraged to support the teams and acknowledge the contributions of teachers and parents who have been vital in nurturing the players’ skills in netball.
