Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Professor Biman Prasad emphasized the teachings of Prophet Mohammed, highlighting themes of peace, inclusivity, tolerance, and ethical behavior. He made these remarks while wishing Fiji’s Muslim community a blessed celebration of the Prophet’s birthday.

Professor Prasad stated that the principles of social, ethical, moral, and religious conduct form the foundation for social, economic, and political progress. He acknowledged the vital contributions of various religious groups, especially the Muslim community, in enhancing education, spirituality, and community life within the country.

He underscored the importance of the Muslim community as a key player in fostering lasting peace, harmony, and tolerance, while also stressing the necessity of inclusivity, equality, dignity, and justice for all citizens.
