On Thursday night, a large gathering of former scholars, parents, and students came together to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Drasa Primary School and the 50th anniversary of Drasa Secondary School. The event took place at the school in Lautoka, with Shiva Gounder, managing director of Subrail’s Furniture, serving as the guest speaker.
Gounder highlighted the significance of the occasion, stating, “We honor Drasa Primary School’s 100 years of excellence and the 50-year journey of Drasa Secondary School.” He emphasized the event as a celebration of the enduring spirit of education and commitment to shaping future generations.
Offering congratulations, Gounder remarked, “To the staff, students, and alumni of Drasa Primary School, congratulations on reaching your centennial. One hundred years is a significant milestone that reflects the strength and vision that guided this institution from its humble beginnings.”
The celebration culminated in a successful three-day carnival at the primary school, which featured various activities, including cultural performances, sports competitions, and food stalls.
